Hello from Camp! Today was an amazing day filled with fun, good food, and theatrics. It was a wet one today, but despite the heavy dew (our Northwoods slang for rain), we kept the fun and festivities high.
We started off the day a half hour later since we were so active during yesterday’s cruiser day. For breakfast, we ate eggs and hashbrowns. Afterward, we jumped into a cabin clean-up before heading into first and second periods of activities. The rain wasn’t too bad at this point, so activities ran as normal for the morning.
For lunch, we dined on corn dogs and french fries, a personal favorite) of mine. After lunch, we had a rest period, during which, the cabins prepared for tonight’s evening program: Karaoke night! each cabin selected a song to perform in front of the whole camp, but more on that later.
After rest period and karaoke night prep, we launched into rainy-day activities. We had lots of activities offered to enjoy the rain: rainy-day soccer, disc golfing, fireplace guitar sessions, board games, hot cocoa in the lodge, and more! It was a cozy afternoon for some and an active and wet one for others!
After the activities, we had a honey garlic chicken and rice dinner. Then, we went into the night’s entertainment. Each cabin put on a show to remember! We saw dancing, heard piano man renditions that would bring you to tears and so much more. The whole camp was laughing all night and really enjoyed the performances. After the best performers were awarded their victory sodas, night-time routines began and heads hit the pillows. It was a great day here and we can’t wait for tomorrow! Until then…
Benches Up,
