Timberlife – February 2026

Directors Message

Hello Timberlane Family,

Last week, our administrative team spent a few days together in Chicago. We slowed down, reflected, and spent real time talking about the summer ahead. We planned programs that are going to feel new and exciting at camp. Fresh ideas, thoughtful changes, and experiences that build on what Timberlane already does so well. We talked through a lot of different parts of this upcoming summer and how they all fit together to create something awesome.

And because we’re camp people, it wasn’t all meetings. We ate a lot of food, told stories, laughed hard, and played games. Those moments matter. They remind us that the heart of camp has always been connection, fun, and spending time together. That same energy carries into how we plan and lead all summer long.

While we were in Chicago, winter kept doing its thing back at camp. It’s been cold. Really cold. Even so, camp looks great. Quiet, peaceful, and ready. There’s something special about seeing Timberlane this time of year.

What really gets us excited is seeing how many staff and campers are coming back. Familiar names keep popping up, messages keep coming in, and it’s a great reminder of how strong camp is. Timberlane has always been about the people, and knowing that so many of those connections are continuing into another summer makes all the planning feel worth it.

Thank you for reading, and we are so excited for the summer.

Benches Up,

Sam (Pickles)

Growing the Timberlane Community

One of the things I’m most proud of at Timberlane is how our community continues to grow. We’ve grown in the best way possible, through families who genuinely believe in Timberlane and share it with people they trust.

When you recommend Timberlane to a friend, you’re not doing us a favor. You’re helping shape the community your child is part of by bringing in families aligned with our values and the kind of camp Timberlane is.

To recognize that, we’ve increased our Family Referral Award. When a Timberlane family refers another family who enrolls, the referring family will receive a $1,000 tuition credit.

This isn’t about growing bigger. It’s about growing with families who share our values and are looking for a place their kids can call home in the summer. It’s also our way of saying thank you to the families who help make Timberlane what it is.

If you know a family who might be a great fit, we’d love to connect with them.

Father Son

Last year’s Father-Son Weekend was a reminder of how meaningful it is to slow down and share time together. We saw fathers and sons laugh, compete, talk, and simply be together without the usual distractions of daily life.

We’re excited to bring this weekend back and welcome families for another chance to build memories that last well beyond camp. Registration details are below, and we hope you’ll consider joining us for a weekend.

Timberlane in the Wild

Camp lives far beyond the summer, and nothing makes that clearer than seeing Timberlane people finding each other out in the world. Whether it’s a quick hello, a planned get-together, or a total surprise run-in, these moments matter.

If you’ve spent time with Timberlane friends recently, snap a picture and send it in. We’d love to share how camp keeps showing up in your life.
