Hello from Camp Timberlane! It has been an amazing day here in beautiful Wisconsin. Today was cruiser day, a special and favorite weekly tradition here at camp. This week, the juniors went on bus, the intermediates did van, and the seniors stayed in camp. It was a day full of unique adventures for every cabin and one they’ll never forget.
The juniors took advantage of the water today, going out to a waterpark and the Wisonsion RIver. They got to slide down some slides at the waters before indulging in some Domino’s pizza. Afterward, they relaxed on tubs going down the Wisconsin River. It was a lovely time and ensured that each camper had a unique and fun experience.
In the intermediate village, each cabin took a van across the greater Wisconsin area and experienced the beauty of our state. Some cabins drove all the way up to Madeline Island, others went to Rib Mountain, and some got to go to Copper Peak. It was a day full of good food and great nature.
The seniors stayed here and got to do six fun activities they chose as a cabin group. For lunch, each cabin counselor picked up food from in town: there was local Chinese food, Clvers, and more. The cabin groups then finished the remaining three of the six activities before heading to the flagpole. After lowering the flag and a BBQ chicken dinner, they played slip-and-slide kickball, a fun game that caused smiles to appear everywhere The boys finished up their night with a fire to make smores: they even got to help themselves to seconds!
It was such a fun and special day, and since it was so exhilarating, we get to sleep in an extra half an hour tomorrow. Who knows what shenanigans we’ll get up to tomorrow? Until then…
Benches Up!
