July 31st 2024 – Chippewa Play

Hello from Camp Timberlane. It was another breathtaking day up here in the Northwoods and one filled with fun and surprises. We started the day with a French toast and bacon breakfast: the accompanying strawberry jam was incredible. After getting fueled up, we sent the boys back to their cabins for a quick clean-up before heading into the first and second periods of activities.

It was a hot one today, so activities were extra intentional about water breaks and sunscreen. By the time we got to lunch, which was ironically chili, the boys were sweaty and smiling. It was an awesome start to the day and a yummy lunch. After eating some ice cream sandwiches, the boys headed back to their cabins for a short rest period.
We then launched into the third and fourth periods. We had rock climbing available, waterskiing, pottery, and much more. This ran up until our afternoon free period, which today was cut a little short due to the special program in store for the evening… THE CHIPPEWA SOCIAL!
After eating a spaghetti dinner, the boys got all cleaned up for the lovely ladies of Chippewa Ranch Camp. By 6:45, we loaded buses and took our campers over to their camp to have a social. We got to watch Chippewa’s rendition of High School Musical, enjoy some ice cream, and even show the girls our trampball skills. It was such a fun night with lots of laughs (and a little love). We love the girls over at Chippewa and our boys’ gentlemanliness makes us proud every social.
After the social ended, we headed back to camp, got our meds, and hopped into bed. It was such a fun and busy day: who knows what tomorrow will bring our way. Until then…
