July 21, 2025: 1st Cruiser Day

Today we had a great cruiser day!  Our Juniors headed out for adventures in vans around the northwoods, our intermediates stayed in-camp and had the run of our facilities.  Our seniors climbed into a big yellow school bus and spent the day enjoying some time river tubing, getting ice cream, and having a pizza dinner in a local park.

Our in-camp cabins get to enjoy a lunch brought in from outside of camp, and the Wisconsin local favorite is Culver’s. By the end of the meal, the central area smells of fast food fries and cheese curds, and the campers are comparing the ultimate burger toppings. A few even dared to dip fries into their custard. For dinner our kitchen made a barbqued chicken dinner, and the cabins got busy with a variety of sports before heading back for the night.
On Tuesday we start the next series of activities, and the campers are very excited to start their new adventures.  We’ll look forward to telling you all about that very soon.  I hope your day is full of the good kind of adventures, too!
Best wishes,
Jeff Melrose
