It was a great day for a good day at Camp Timberlane. We started the morning with some scrambled eggs and sausage links. After getting all our necessary protein, we headed back to the cabins for a quick clean-up before heading into the first and second periods of activities. Once the first and second ended, we had a morning free period filled with trampball and more.
Morning free period lasted until lunches arrival, which today was chicken patties and french fries. We washed down the delicious meal with cool glasses of chocolate milk. The food was so scrumptious: it’s no wonder why it’s a favorite camp meal. After lunch we headed back to the cabins for a rest period before jumping into the third and fourth periods of activities.
After the activities finished, we skipped our afternoon free period to prepare for tonights special evening program: opening ceremonies. At 5:00 we headed to our team meeting locations to prepare for the ceremony performances that would display each Titans Day Team to the whole camp. There was singing, dancing, acting, and lots of fun during this practice time.
This ran up until dinner, which tonight was pizza. After thoroughly stuffing our faces and grabbing canteen, we headed to the flagpole to watch everyone’s opening. We started with Maui, then watched Quetzalcoatl, went on to Torngarsuk, and finished with Zeus. It was a display of creativity and storytelling with lots of jokes that had the whole camp laughing. It was a great way to get hyped for tomorrows big day.
Titains Day starts tomorrow bright and early with the leg wrestling competition. It’s bound to be an amazing day filled with so much fun and healthy competition. We’ll have to wait to see who’s victorious, but regardless of who wins, everyone is bound to have a blast. Until then…
