Today was another hot day and an absolutely great day! This morning was the first lazy breakfast of the summer. Campers can come in anytime between 8:30 and 9:25 am for a made to order omelette or bullseye prepared by our admin team. Today’s mystery omelette (sausage, pepper and onion) was quite popular. We had a very energetic group of campers join us to help serve and it’s always fun to watch how much they enjoy helping out. On lazy breakfast Sundays, we have a little longer cabin clean up before heading into our morning activities. This morning we had 3rd and 4th periods followed by a delicious lunch of chicken tostadas with refried beans. After lunch, campers signed up for their second series of activities. I had the pleasure of checking in with many of the campers as they turned their picks in and it’s always great to see them all one on one.
Once sign ups were complete, we surprised everyone with a fun afternoon of water activities. Campers rotated through stations at swimming, enjoying a little beach party, having a water balloon fight and doing the slip-n-slide all while Sam had a thoroughly enjoyable time cooling everyone off with a squirt gun.
