Second session is underway. The Chicago bus came into camp at 4:00 pm, and they brought the energy. We sent the campers to their cabin and started unpacking before their health screening. It was great seeing the new campers and old campers meeting each other and getting settled into camp.
After the flying, campers got to camp we had our traditional spaghetti dinner with homemade chocolate chip cookies, and we had a canteen as well.
We had a free period playing trampball and some time to hang out with new and old friends. Afterward, we headed to the campfire area, not for a traditional campfire, but we had an opening campfire where we set the tone for the summer. We discussed what it means to be kind and nice and be a Camp Timberlane camper. We had a chance to celebrate our first-year campers and wrapped up with a celebration of our community.
2nd Session is off to a great start, and we cannot wait for the rest of the session. We will be posting a daily blog as well as daily photos. Please follow along with all of the fun that we are having.
