Hello from camp!
After a very busy UN Day, we enjoyed a lazy breakfast this morning allowing some extra time to sleep in. We did a big cabin clean up followed by 1st and 2nd period. Lunch today was yummy sloppy joes with a delicious pasta salad followed by a big all camp pick up and then writing letters home. After rest period we had 3rd and 4th period followed by a free period. The weather was amazing all day today, a perfect mid 70 degree sunny day! We ate burgers and chips outside for dinner with some popsicles for dessert. Tonight’s evening program was the Microwave EP, the campers did shortened versions of some of our most popular evening programs; counselor hunt, movie night (that included mini canteen candy), a campfire and capture the flag.
While we had a great day at camp, our CITs spent the day cruising around on a pontoon boat, visiting a few lakes. They had a great time swimming and relaxing. For dinner, they grilled steak and asparagus at Sam’s house. When I visited them during dinner, they all said it was a fantastic day.
We are relishing the last few days of the session and making every moment count!
