Hello from Camp Timberlane. What another great day at camp! Today we had a slightly abnormal schedule with an epic evening program. It started with breakfast being a half hour later so the boys could sleep in after yesterday’s fun. We then had pancakes and bacon for breakfast (a personal favorite). This was followed by a cabin clean-up and first and second periods of activities. It was a sunny day, so Lake Towanda was full of campers skiing, canoeing, paddle boarding, and swimming this morning!
Since we slept in a half hour later, we didn’t have our usual morning free period, instead, we went straight from second period into lunch. Today, we dined on beanie weenies with cornbread. It was a delicious meal followed by popsicles for dessert. After lunch, we had a rest period followed by third and fourth periods of activities.
During the following afternoon free period, the tramps and swimming area were open, but many of the boys decided to freshen up for the evening program during this time. That’s because tonight we drove the boys to Camp Agawak for a social! Camp Agawak and Camp Timberlane have a great history together, and tonight, we continued that history with a social! The boys showered, put on their best outfits, and some sprayed on a little too much axe. They were ready!
After an early flagpole, we had a hamburger and french fry dinner. We then hopped on the buses to head to Agawak. At Agawak, the girls treated us to an awesome dance party, served us delicious brownies, and toured us around the beautiful camp property. It was a really fun night for the boys, as they got to practice their manners and socialize with friends from home and new ones! After closing time by Semisonic played, we knew it was time to pack up and head home. We got back on the buses and headed back to camp.
It was an amazing day with an incredible evening: we can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store. Until then…
Benches Up,
