Who’s Who at Camp, August, 2020

Hi Folks,

Hello from the beautiful shores of Lake Towanda. We hope that everyone had a nice summer and was able to enjoy some time in the outdoors. We are getting camp ready for the winter and preparing for the summer of 2021!

IT OCCURS TO ME…

They say when life gives you lemons you should make lemonade, and that is what we did this summer at the Family Resort at Camp Timberlane.  For 7 weeks we had current camp families, alumni families, and new families join us for 5 days on the beautiful shores of Lake Towanda. The Family Resort was not camp but it did have sparks of magic that is Timberlane. There were kids laughing while playing trampball, kids and adults learning how to ski, and everyone smiling and enjoying being outside. Summer 2020 gave us lemons and the Family Resort was our way to making lemonade. 

The Family Resort was made possible by a fantastic and dedicated staff that included; Joe Berns, Joe Burson, Leslie & Mike Cohen, Erica Florimonte, Emily Gurner, Ryan Hearst, Phil House, Ryan Mc Donough, Bill Miller, Casey Mutchnik, David  Ringel, Jacob Rosenstein,  Myles Rosenstein, Ari Singer, Dan Van Buren, Alexander Zlotnik. A special shout out to the following staff that came to help for different parts of the summer; Rick & Holly Jones, Corrie & Hitch Hitchens, Jeff Melrose, Joey Pawlan, Scott Wolf, Dustin Cohen, Sammy Cohen and Jovan Mc Gee. This group of staff were the lemonade makers, they worked everyday to make sure that everyone had a great time at camp. I am forever grateful for their dedication to camp and this summer. 

Pandemics notwithstanding, we know life will keep giving us lemons and what we do with it next is what’s most important. With the upcoming school year upon us it will be important to have a “making lemonade” mindset.  There will be some new and difficult challenges ahead but if you focus on making lemonade you will surprise yourself.

We don’t want to forget to mention that we have opened enrollment for next summer, and as you can see below, we already have lots of kids signed up.  We invite you to REGISTER YOUR CAMPER as soon as possible.
