June 21 2026 – Lazy Breakfast, Biffer, and Casino Night

Today was an amazing, fun-filled day from start to finish. Today was our first lazy breakfast, a time for our campers to sleep in a bit and come in for made-to-order eggs and bullseyes cooked by our admin team. Campers had an extra-long cabin clean-up today before heading into 3rd and 4th-period activities. Because we slept in, there was no free period so after 4th period we headed into the lodge for yummy tostadas.

The lodge was filled with cheers right up until we started the announcements, where the campers found out we were mixing up our usual afternoon by playing a game of Biffer! Before Biffer, we had to do sign-ups for the next series of events. Our intermediate campers picked their activities first this time, followed by the seniors, and the junior village wrapped it up. After signups, it was time to get ready for a game of Biffer! Counselors chased campers with gluten-free flour-filled socks while campers tried to complete a variety of challenges. The goal was to complete more challenges than the number of times you needed to be revived. I sat on the sidelines, and it was hilarious to watch!

Once the Biffer game was over, we had a deluxe free period with lots more activities than usual, followed by preparation for the always-popular Casino Night evening program! Campers and counselors came dressed up in costumes to our first cookout of the summer, grilled burgers, jello, and rice crispy treats… yum! Once everything was cleaned up, it was time to commence the casino night fun! Campers played cards, tried their luck at bozo buckets, bingo, and plinko, and bet on a variety of activities, including a pudding-eating contest, volleyball, and trampball. The night ended with a big tug of war between our senior counselors and the junior counselors.  The senior counselors were once again triumphant as the junior counselors chanted, “At least we have our youth”.

The night ended with each cabin counting their winnings. The cabins then picked their prizes, which ranged from a soda party and movie night to hibachi at Sam’s house. It was truly an amazing day and we can’t wait for another one tomorrow!

Benches up,
