June 20 2026 – Counselor Hunt

Today was a great day up here at camp. Blue skies, some sun, and a schedule that ran exactly as planned. Every single activity got in today, no rain delays, no shuffling, just a clean, full day of camp doing what camp does best.

We started the morning with eggs. Lunch brought one of camp’s all-time classics, corn dogs. Dinner closed things out in style with a wing trifecta, buffalo, hot, and barbecue, all on the table at once, which is about as good as camp food gets.

As the sun went down, we moved into one of our favorite summer traditions, the Counselor Hunt. The counselors slipped off into the woods first, and then it was Blue versus White, with every camper out in camp trying to track down the staff hiding among the trees. Blue had a great night, finding several Mystery Counselors and even tracking down yours truly hiding out there with them. White wasn’t far behind, turning up their own group of Mystery Counselors before the night wrapped up.

There’s something about a camp full of kids sprinting through the woods trying to find their counselors that captures exactly why we do this. It’s just a great big game of hide-and-seek.

Thank you for sharing your amazing and energetic boys with us today.

Benches Up,

Sam
