Karaoke Night!!!
Another great Sunday in the books for the boys at Camp Timberlane! We started off the morning slow with another lazy breakfast. From 8:30-9:30, campers strolled into the lodge to get their egg fixings. From bullseyes to mystery omelettes to cereal, there was an option for everyone. After lazy breakfast ended, we had a quick cabin clean up before going into first and second period.
There was no morning free period today since we slept in late; instead, we went right into lunch after second period. The kitchen prepared a new recipe for us today, french bread pizza! It was fluffier, crispier, and tastier than in any years past. After filling up, we had rest period and sign ups. This week, we let the junior village campers pick their activities first. It’s crazy to think that our last series of activities will be starting in only a couple of days.
By 3:00, we were ready to roll into third and fourth period. After archery, mountain biking, soccer, and more, we had a 5:00 free period. During this time, cabins were busy preparing for our evening’s program: Karaoke Night! Each cabin prepared a song to do karaoke to and dance to. After thoroughly preparing, we had a wonderful hotdog BBQ outside.
Once we cleaned up and had a free period with, you guessed it, trampball, we were ready to start the night’s main event. Starting with the youngest cabins and working our way up to the PAs, the whole camp got to watch as stars were born. There was singing along to Britney Spears songs, Coldplay acapella, and hilarious dance moves. It was such a fun event where we got to see some of the shyer kids go out of their shells and the more extroverted kids take center stage.
With sunny skies on the forecast for tomorrow, it’s sure to shape up to be another great day in the Northwoods. Until then…
Benches Up,
Joey
