Chippewa Ranch Camp? Oh Yeah!
We had another great day up at camp Timberlane. We started the day with egg McMuffin sandwiches and fruit. After the hearty breakfast, we sent the boys back to do a little cabin clean up before heading into first and second period. We had a great day at sailing: the program is really finding its footing and the kids love to get out on the big lake (Big Arbor Vitae). After second period, we had a free period filled with trampball, board games, and pickleball.
It started to get a little chilly around lunch time, which funnily enough was a warm serving of chili and cornbread. After thoroughly stuffing our faces, we sent the boys back to the cabin to get a little rest before the afternoon periods began. Also during rest period, we had our first camp council meeting where the campers got to bring all their ideas on how we can make camp a better place! Luckily for us, the rain held out for the afternoon activities. Third and fourth period were full of energy despite the clouds and cooler weather. The excitement could have been from the huge lunch announcement that the Chippewa Ranch Camp girls were coming over for a social! We spent the afternoon free period getting our booths ready, showering, and putting on our best carnival attire.
For dinner, we had a camp favorite: FAJITAS!!! With incredible guacamole and all the works, it had the whole camp’s mouth watering. We welcomed some alumni back to camp for the weekend and they had the whole lodge cheering. They brought back some of the more classic Timberlane cheers. The boys went wild as five busses of Chippewa girls came rolling down camp road. Everyone had a blast tonight listening to music, getting their faces painted, eating popcorn, and sending our oldest boys into the dunk tank. We ended the evening with a camp social favorite, The Singled Out game show.
Tomorrow morning we are all sleeping in and enjoying a relaxing lazy breakfast. Stay tuned for another amazing day at camp!
