Today was our last cruiser day, and our village directors gave you a rundown of what they did with their village.
Junior Village – Santi Gonzalez
Today was Camp Cruiser Day for Junior Village, where each cabin had the chance to design its own perfect day at camp by choosing six favorite activities. Popular choices included waterskiing, free swim, fishing, trampball, and many other camp favorites, giving campers the opportunity to enjoy the activities they love most. The evening ended with a Junior Village Talent Show, where both campers and counselors took the stage to share hidden talents, perform for their friends, and enjoy plenty of laughs together. It was a fun day that gave everyone the chance to be creative, try something new, and make even more great memories.
Intermediate Village – Alex Goldberg
Started out at the North Lakeland Discovery Center. Saw some turtles, snakes, & owls, played on a log playground, and hiked some hiking trails. Then, we went over to Bierman Family Aquatic Center and dove off the high dive, slid down some water slides, and played pool basketball. We had pizzas for lunch. And burgers for dinner, with lots of yummy fruit to go along with it. Lastly, we finished up with some ice cream. A great day.
Senior Village – Noah Coen
Today, the Senior Village had a fantastic Van Cruiser Day. All four cabins made the trip to Madeline Island, and it was well worth the journey. The warm summer weather combined with the refreshing waters of Lake Superior created the perfect setting for a day of cliff jumping, swimming, and enjoying everything the island had to offer. Campers embraced the adventure, making memories with their cabinmates while soaking up one of the highlights of the session.
Everyone enjoyed a lunch of freshly grilled burgers and finished the day with some delicious ice cream. It was a great opportunity for campers to relax, spend time together, and celebrate an unforgettable day outdoors. Overall, the Senior Village had an outstanding Van Cruiser Day and a perfect way to wrap up this session’s Cruiser Day cycle. It was a day filled with adventure, laughter, and memories that campers will be talking about long after the summer comes to an end.
It was a wonderful day, and we are so excited for tomorrow!
