Hi!
We started our morning with some grey skies and a sleepy start after yesterday’s action as everyone headed out for our first full day of skill sessions. From the archery range to the waterfront, campers were diving headfirst into their activities, mastering new skills, and soaking up the fresh air.
But as we all know, camp weather likes to keep us on our toes! By midday, the clouds rolled in, bringing a steady rain that forced us to shift to Plan B. If you think a little rain slows us down, though, you haven’t seen our staff in action. The campers must have fun!
Instead of letting the drizzle dampen our spirits, we turned the afternoon into an epic indoor hangout. Groups gathered in the Lodge for board game marathons, trading outdoor sports for intense strategy sessions over Monopoly, Uno, and Connect Four. While we like to keep the outside world a bit at bay while we are here, we used the weather as an opportunity to let our staff and campers tune in to watch today’s thrilling World Cup game together—the lodge was absolutely buzzing with cheers and camp wide camaraderie!
As afternoon turned into evening, the rain decided to stick around, so we moved the entire camp into the rec hall for an unforgettable night. Tonight’s evening activity was a legendary, all-camp game show called The Quest. Campers and staff teamed up, tackled hilarious challenges, and put their scavenger hunting and improvisational skills to the test in a high-energy showdown that had everyone on their feet.
It was a phenomenal day full of laughter, flexibility, and making memories in the rain. That being said, we are definitely ready to dry off! We’re keeping our fingers crossed and looking forward to the warmer, sunnier weather promised for tomorrow.
See you on the sunny side!
Best regards from camp’s program team,
Jeff, Ryan, and Brady
