After a couple days of cloudy rainy weather, we were greeted this morning with a beautiful, sunny Northwoods morning. We started the day with our morning musical selection and flagpole gathering before washing our hands and heading in for cheese omelettes and hash browns. After breakfast, the campers spent time cleaning their cabins, then headed out for a typical morning of first and second period followed by a free period with plenty of trampball! Lunch was delicious gyro sandwiches with chocolate pudding for dessert. Today was letter writing day during rest period. Mail is a little slow getting out of our small town so know those letters are on the way, but it may take longer than you might expect.
This afternoon was our first normal afternoon and it felt good to get our 3rd and 4th period activities started. Afternoon free period was once again filled with trampball, disc golf and board games in the central area. Dinner was delicious pizza followed by village evening programs. Our junior village campers played continuous dodgeball, the intermediate campers channeled their World Cup aspirations and played a big game of soccer, and our seniors had a trampball tournament (yes, we do love trampball!) followed by a trip into town with Sam for some ice cream at Briqs!
Camp is now quiet as we settle in and get some sleep for another great camp day tomorrow!
Benches up,
Corrie
