August 4th: A Fantastic Final Crusier Day

Hello from the beautiful shores of Lake Towanda! It was our last cruiser day today, and we made sure to head out with a bang! This final week, the juniors stayed in camp, the intermediates went on bus, and the seniors went on van. It was an epic day across villages and cabins! We started with a bagel and cream cheese breakfast before sending the intermediates and seniors on their way!

As the older kids headed out, the juniors settled in; they had tons of fun getting the whole camp to themselves today. In the morning, each
cabin ventured around to their chosen activities. Some cabins played trampball, others skied, and one cabin even went to the climbing wall!
After a take-out lunch was brought in (Chinese and Culver’s), a beach party ensued! After toweling off, the kids had s’mores and sang campfire songs until dinner started. They finished the day with a cookie decorating program! It was an awesome day full of sweets and
sweet memories.

The intermediates boarded their buses at 10, kicking off their day with a visit to a cranberry farm for a behind-the-scenes tour. Next,
they headed to The Waters for some indoor waterpark fun before refueling with a Domino’s pizza lunch. The afternoon was packed with excitement. First, a stop at What’s the Scoop for ice cream, then some high-energy playtime at Brandy Park. By the time they rolled back into
camp, the boys were full of stories from their day’s adventure.

The seniors had an unforgettable van cruiser day; some cabins elected to go to Little Girl’s Point for some sand dunes and swimming. Others
headed to Cooper Falls Mini Golf, some went bowling, and everyone had an awesome time. One cabin even visited an alpaca farm, where the boys were blown away by a surprise alligator viewing. There were tons of pit stop snacks, and a couple of cabins finished their day with a
feast at Hong Kong Buffet. Each cabin had a unique adventure that
they’ll remember for a lifetime.

As the sun set, all three villages reunited at camp, swapping stories and laughing about the day’s adventures. It was the perfect way to
close out our cruiser days this summer; full of fun, friendship, and just the right amount of chaos. We can’t wait to see what crazy
surprises we have in store for tomorrow (and this time I’m serious, we have a CRAZY surprise tomorrow). Until then…

Benches Up,
Joey Flom
