Last Day of First Series!
It was a beautiful, sunny day on the shores of Lake Towanda. Breakfast this morning was a classic, pancakes and sausage. We had a fantastic cabin cleanup before heading out for the last day of first series of activities!
This morning’s activities were similar to what we have been seeing all week. A lot of energy, laughter, and campers having the time of their lives. Our staff have done an excellent job instructing this first series and they can’t wait to carry it into this coming week. With campers trying new activities, going on trips, and cheering in the lodge, camp really is in full swing.
We wrapped up the morning with an awesome free period full of trampball and games around camp. Lunch today was a fan favorite, sloppy joes with tater tots! After lunch the campers headed back to the cabins for some letter writing and rest. It was a fun-filled morning, so some downtime is just what everyone needed.
After rest period, the campers went straight into the afternoon activities. The sun was shining all day and it was a perfect way to wrap up the first week of activities at camp. By dinner time the whole camp was starving and couldn’t wait to get into the lodge and devour some pasta bake!
The evening program for tonight was a massive Blue and White event: Counselor Hunt! All the counselors dressed in their best camouflage and headed for their favorite hiding spots. As the counselors got into position the campers gathered in the rec hall waiting with suspense. And with the ring of the bell the campers stormed outside in search of all the counselors.
This energetic evening program was the perfect way to end the first week of camp. We can’t believe it’s been a week already and we can’t wait for what this next week will bring. As always, stay tuned tomorrow for another great day at camp!
