Today was our first cruiser day, and our village directors gave you a rundown of what they did with their village.
Junior Village – Santi Gonzalez
Today was Cruiser Day for Junior Village, giving each cabin the chance to plan its own adventure. Some groups spent the day exploring Lake Superior, including stops at Saxon Harbor and Little Girls Point, while others visited the local iron mines. Every cabin enjoyed grilling out together, and in the afternoon some groups played mini golf while others raced go-karts. The day wrapped up at Torpy Park before one final stop at Briq’s for ice cream, sending everyone back to camp tired, full, and smiling after an awesome day.
Intermediate Village – Alex Goldberg
The intermediate village had a blast on in-camp cruiser day! Each cabin in the village got to ski, swim, and play lots of trampball! For lunch, each cabin ordered from out of camp, and had barbecue chicken for dinner with popsicles for dessert! For evening program, it was one big game of continuous dodgeball. The boys are sleeping well after an energetic day of camp.
Senior Village – Noah Coen
Today the senior village had a fantastic bus cruiser day. We embarked on a chopped style burger making contest with the PA’s winning with their Texas bacon barbecue burger. Other highlights were the Hawaii themed burger and the Wisconsin themed burger stuffed with cheese. We then went to a waterpark filled with slides and a diving board followed by Chinese food from Hunan and ice cream at Briqs to top off a great village day!
It was a wonderful day, and we are so excited for tomorrow!
