July 9th, 2026 –  Soaking Up Every Last Moment

Before the final push toward the end of First Session, today gave campers a day they won’t soon forget. We kicked things off with a delicious breakfast of French toast and sausage links.
Following cabin clean up, campers headed off to some of their final activity periods of the session. Whether it was taking one last ski run across the lake, making a final climb to the top of the wall, or spending time at their favorite activity areas, everyone embraced every opportunity. It was great to see campers making the most of each moment and creating a few more memories before the session comes to a close. Lunch featured hearty chili and cornbread, giving everyone the energy they needed for an afternoon unlike any other.
The summer heat made the perfect backdrop for one of the most exciting afternoons of the session. Camp transformed into a giant water playground with two massive inflatable water parks featuring slides and obstacle courses that kept campers smiling from start to finish. We also held village-wide free swims and a crazy game of Slip ‘N Slide kickball that had campers and staff laughing, splashing, and cheering each other on all afternoon. Dinner featured a special treat from the kitchen crew, Tuscan Chicken! A perfect meal to after an action packed day.
The excitement carried right into evening program with one of Timberlane’s favorite traditions: the Blue and White Marathon. Teams competed through more than 40 legs of challenges spread across camp, testing teamwork, creativity, determination, and plenty of camp spirit. Every station brought new excitement as teammates raced from challenge to challenge, encouraging one another every step of the way.
The marathon culminated in the legendary Burn Rope Burn finale. Teams worked together to build fires hot enough to burn through three suspended ropes, each one thicker than the last. As flames grew and the crowd counted down together, cheers erupted each time another rope snapped. It was an unforgettable finish to an incredible day. With just a few days remaining in First Session, campers continue to make every moment count. If today was any indication, we’re in for an amazing finish to an unforgettable session.
Benches Up,
Ryan
