July 31, 2026 – Legacy Legends Campfire

Hello again from the Northwoods! This morning followed our familiar camp routine. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast of sausage, eggs, and English muffins before heading back to our cabins for cleanup. Once our Village Directors finished inspecting the cabins, everyone headed off to their morning activities. We wrapped up the morning with a free period before gathering in the lodge for lunch.
By lunchtime, some rain clouds rolled into camp and gave us a brief shower. Fortunately, most of the rain came during our afternoon rest period, so campers had the perfect excuse to relax indoors for a little while. Before long, the rain lightened up, and we were right back outside enjoying our afternoon activities. As fun as the day was, tonight was what made it truly special.
Our evening program was the Second Session Legacy Campfire, one of Camp’s most meaningful traditions. Each summer, we take time to recognize those who have reached an incredible milestone, ten summers at camp. Gathering around the campfire, staff members shared stories, memories, and moments that captured the impact these people have had on our community over the years. There were plenty of laughs, a few heartfelt moments, and lots of appreciation for the friendships and memories that have been built over a decade at Timberlane.
To wrap up the evening, the entire camp celebrated together with cake in honor of our Legacy Legends. It was a fitting end to a night that reminded all of us what makes camp so special. We have an amazing weekend ahead of us and we can’t wait to share it all with you. Stay tuned tomorrow for another update from camp!
Benches Up,
Ryan
