July 1, 2026 – Chippewa Social

Today marked the first day of our last activity series for the first session, which is one of those days that sneaks up on you. The weather was warm and the energy on camp reflected it.

Breakfast was pancakes and sausage, lunch was pizza bread, and dinner brought things up a notch with blackened chicken and fettuccine Alfredo. The boys were well fed heading into what turned out to be a really special evening.

We had the girls from Chippewa Ranch Camp come over for a good old-fashioned social, and it did not disappoint. Boat rides on the lake, popcorn and brownies, music, some dancing, and a whole lot of hanging out. And if that wasn’t enough, we got to watch the US pull off a World Cup win right in the middle of it all. The cheers from camp probably echoed across the lake. There’s something about a room full of kids celebrating a US victory together that adds a little extra magic to an already great night. Back to the social. It was a lot of fun, and the boys and girls really enjoyed their time.

We had such a wonderful day, and we look forward to Campfire tomorrow night, followed by United Nations Day.

Benches Up,

Sam Kahn
