Our invitations to last summer’s staff to return in 2021 have just recently gone out, and we already have some great folks who will be back again.

Even though it’s only December, we have a great group of returning staff to tell you about. Welcome back to:

Seth Berk	This will be summer number 6 for Seth! This waterski fanatic is a Senior in high school at San Diego Jewish Academy in California. He will split his time between the ski docks and the Disc Golf course as our Director of Disc Sports. This year Seth is finishing up high school and patiently waiting to hear back from colleges! *Something you may not know about Seth:* “I can clear the slalom course at 15’ off and 32 mph.”
Carlos Dorantes Banuelos	Carlos is back for his 8th summer at camp! He is from Puebla, Mexico where he works as a recruiter for IENA, an agency that connects international staff to American summer camps. If he isn’t working or traveling to beautiful places, you can usually find Carlos jumping out of planes as he has a passion for skydiving. This summer Carlos will be back as our Assistant Cook.
Lauren Gajewski	Lauren will be joining us for her second summer at camp! She is 20 years old from Tampa, Florida. She is currently in her second year of school at the University of Florida where she is studying Wildlife Ecology & Conservation. Lauren has recently taken trips to explore areas around Florida including natural springs, sinkholes, and even caves. We are excited to have her back as a Wilderness Trip Leader! *Something you may not know about Lauren:* “I’ve gotten back into creative arts after a few years away from painting! I also picked up a hobby in woodburning after this summer and am now creating mixed media watercolor/photography art.”
Kathy Leverton	After a couple years off we are happy to welcome back Kathy! This will be summer number 11 for Kathy. She has been it all at camp, from Rock Climbing Director, to the Director of Scuba (back when that was a thing), and this summer she is back again to be a Wilderness Trip Leader! Kathy is from South Africa where she has been working as a tour guide, but more recently has taken on a variety of different creative jobs as well! We are thrilled to have Kathy back. *Something you may not know about Kathy:* “My cat found a runaway hamster. Now my pet cat has a pet hamster.”
SAY HELLO TO THESE AWESOME FIRST-YEAR STAFF MEMBERS:
Kaitlyn Cissell	Kaitlyn joins us from sunny Florida! She is going to be 20 years old this summer and will be the Director of Canoeing and help out at a number of different activities. She has been working in Florida as a Cake Decorator, but is excited to spend a summer outside on the water! Something you may not know about Kaityln: “My dream is to one day hike the Pacific Crest Trail, which stretches from the border of Mexico to Canada.”
Christopher Jones	Christopher is from the United Kingdom and will be 26 this summer. He currently is working for a company that builds luxury yachts out of Plymouth, UK. Very cool! We are excited for him to join us this summer as a Wilderness Trip Leader. Christopher has a lot of experience out in the wilderness and is excited to explore all that the Northern part of our country has to offer! *Something you may not know about Christopher:* “I’ve traveled all around the world to places like Australia, New Zealand, and Iceland just to name a few. I’ve learnt to fly in small single piston aircraft and regularly go on adventures with my good friend Dan, who is a helicopter pilot.”
Valdemar Pluma	Valdemar will be 21 years old this summer and is from Tlaxcala, Mexico. He is currently studying law at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. When not studying Valdemar is heading up his new business selling toys and clothes. This summer he will be a part of our fantastic Kitchen Staff! *Something you may not know about Valdemar:* “I am interested in knowing new cultures, speaking new languages, traveling abroad and having more friends from all over the world!!”
