July 3rd- Second Cruiser Day
It was a beautiful day on Lake Towanda. Today was our second cruiser day and it went amazing! We started the day off real chill: we woke up at 8:30 and took breakfast back to the cabin. The boys were able to eat bagels and fruit from the comfort of their cabins. Once they were finished, the counselors brought back the trash, and by 10:00, cruiser day had begun!
This week, the Juniors did bus cruiser day, the intermediates did van cruiser day, and the seniors did in camp cruiser day. The Bus cruiser day was a blast! They got to go swim at The Waters, went to a real lumberjack show, saw the incredible Minocqua bats, where they played a special camp created bingo! It was a great day filled with lots of laughs.
The intermediate cabins did all sorts of things today. Some went to Little Girls’ Point to swim, others went to a water park, and one cabin even went to a planetarium. The vibes were great all around today and every cabin had such unique experiences.
The seniors stayed in camp today and got to do all sorts of activities. Some cabins elected to do arts and crafts, extra ski runs, free swim and trampball. They even got to get lunch from out of camp: some cabins got Monical’s pizza, others got Culvers burgers, and one cabin got the local chinese food. They finished the day with a rocking evening program: a cookie bake off!! Each camper shaped their own cookie into a creation of their choosing. After baking, they got to decorate with tons of different icings and toppings. They of course got to feast on their creations after the judging and award process. It was a great end to the fun yet chill day.
It’s hard to believe that we’re going into our third and final series of activities tomorrow. Somehow, these first two and a half weeks have flown by incredibly fast. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Until then…
