August 5, 2026 – End of Summer Party!

What a day in the Northwoods! We kicked off the morning with a delicious breakfast of French toast before heading back to the cabins for one of the final cabin cleanups of the summer. It’s hard to believe we’re already at that point in the session! Once village directors finished inspections, campers headed out for one last chance to enjoy their favorite activities.
During Open Houses, every activity is open at the same time, giving campers the freedom to choose exactly how they want to spend their morning. Whether it was one last ride behind the ski boat, another trip up the climbing wall, perfecting an archery shot, or creating something special in arts and crafts, campers could spend as much time as they wanted at each activity. It was the perfect chance to revisit favorite places around camp and enjoy them one more time before the summer comes to a close.
After lunch, the excitement shifted into high gear with our first ever End of Summer Party! Camp transformed into one giant celebration featuring massive inflatable water attractions, water balloon battles, slip-and-slide kickball, free swims in the lake, a cotton candy machine, snow cones, and smiles everywhere you looked.
By the time dinner rolled around, everyone had worked up quite an appetite, but the fun wasn’t over yet. Our evening program brought the Blue and White summer competition to its exciting conclusion with the annual Blue and White Marathon. Campers gave it everything they had as they raced through challenges. The marathon ended with one of Camp most exciting traditions, the Rope Burn Contest. Each team built a fire with the goal of burning through their rope as quickly as possible creating an exciting finish to an even more exciting day.
With another incredible day behind us, it’s amazing to look around camp and see just how many memories have been made this summer. As we head into our final day together, we’re looking forward to making every moment count and finishing the session the only way we know how, with plenty of Timberlane fun!
Benches Up,
Ryan
