July 21, 2026 – A Great Day

After a great cruiser day, everyone was grateful for an extra 30 minutes of sleep this morning.  Scrambled eggs and hashbrowns fueled us up before a quick round of cabin cleanup and the start of our morning activities. Today marked the first day of Series 2 activities, bringing a whole new wave of excitement across camp.
Lunch featured grilled cheese sandwiches and warm tomato soup, followed by a well-earned rest period before everyone headed back out for third and fourth periods. The afternoon wrapped up with another lively free period as campers played lots of Trampball and Tushball. Plenty of campers also enjoyed just hanging around camp spending time with their friends.
Dinner was a favorite, with honey garlic chicken, rice, and carrots on the menu. Afterward, campers enjoyed canteen before diving into one of our evening program, Cabin Challenges. Each cabin challenged another cabin to a game somewhere around camp, creating friendly competition and lots of laughter.
The day concluded with one of Camp Timberlane’s most meaningful traditions, the Torch Ceremony. With Titan’s Day just around the corner, the entire camp gathered as the leaders of each team were announced and recognized. Being selected is a tremendous honor, and the ceremony serves as a reminder of the character, leadership, and sportsmanship that these campers have demonstrated throughout the session.
With Series 2 officially underway and one of our favorite traditions now behind us, there’s a real sense of excitement around camp. The days continue to fly by, friendships continue to grow, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the session has in store!
Benches Up,
Ryan
