July 20th 2026 – First Cruiser Day

Today was our first cruiser day, and our village directors gave you a rundown of what they did with their village.

Junior Village – Santi Gonzalez

Today was Van Cruiser Day for Junior Village, giving each cabin the freedom to plan its own adventure. Several groups headed to Saxon Harbor on Lake Superior, where campers enjoyed swimming, exploring the shoreline, and climbing the clay slopes along the beach. Another cabin traveled to Wausau for an afternoon of ice skating. Along the way, cabins chose different activities such as mini golf or go-kart racing before gathering at Torpy Park for dinner. Some groups picked up Culver’s, while the Wausau cabin enjoyed Chick-fil-A before everyone finished the day with a well-earned stop at Briq’s for ice cream.

Intermediate Village – Alex Goldberg

Great day on in-camp cruiser day today! Each cabin got to swim, ski, and play endless trampball. For lunch, pizza and burgers. For dinner, yummy BBQ chicken, with cookies for dessert. After dinner, we had a custom program where a company brought in water guns and water armor for a huge game of water tag!

Senior Village – Noah Coen

The senior village had a fantastic bus cruiser day filled with fun and adventure! We started at Riverside Park where we competed in a chopped-style competition for the second time this summer, indulging in some state-inspired creative burger recipes. From Texas-style barbecue bacon burgers to Hawaii burgers filled with pineapple and coconut, the campers really got creative. We then gathered our stuff and headed over to High Pines Waterpark, where we had some fun on the massive inflatables. After a great time in the water, we indulged in a massive fruit party followed by some dominoes for dinner. We enjoyed some ice cream for dessert and topped it all off with some soda to finish out a great second session bus cruiser day.

It was a wonderful day, and we are so excited for tomorrow!
