We take great pride in the creative, responsive, and comprehensive nature of our staff training. Each summer we spend nine days training and practicing the skills we need to be caring and effective counselors. Our training is also designed to develop the solidarity and camaraderie among our staff that puts in place our very important support network. Yes, camp counselors do have to have some natural inclination to work with children. Beyond that, after our thorough training, YOU WILL FEEL PREPARED FOR YOUR CAMPERS!

"The training was immensely helpful. Things we talked about in training were still bouncing around in my head during second session when a new group of campers with a new set of needs rolled in. A lot of my concerns about being a counselor were addressed during training, and this gave me a lot more confidence than I initially had." Justin - 1 year at camp. Graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.
"Tripper Training was very helpful in preparing me. I learned a bunch of very useful techniques and skills that helped me with leading trips." Kayla - 1 year at camp. Student at University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse.
